Reviewing The Wild, Wild Web
www.judymandolf.com This site has a wonderfully artistic, painterly feel to it. The images are also diverse. Judy has four galleries, each with about five images. They range from a nude to buildings to still lifes to flowers. Most of the images have a very Spartan and clean look to them that I liked. They seem to be simple and elegant.
A look at the biography tells us that Judy has been an artist for some time. She had many exhibits of her black and white hand-colored photography in the 80s, but with the advent of digital, it has changed her perspective on things. She states that she has had images in her head for years that she previously was unable to produce photographically. Now she has that ability and offers her images for sale either through the Internet or at several galleries that represent her. Her images have their genesis in her original photographs, which are scanned into her computer, collaged, painted and otherwise manipulated by various software programs. They are then printed on textured paper with archival inks and sometimes further enhanced by applying various paints and pencils to the surface. Her print prices are usually listed for a small size but prints from 8x10 to 24x30 can be ordered.
Like the photos, the site has a minimalist design concept. It is very simple, fast and intuitive. Im sure youll enjoy these wonderful images as much as I did.
